About This Technique
Uchi Mata Gaeshi (内股返), or the inner thigh counter, is a foot technique (ashi-waza) in Judo designed specifically as a counter-attack (kaeshi-waza) against an opponent's Uchi Mata (inner thigh throw). It exploits the attacker's precarious single-leg balance while their attacking leg is elevated between your thighs.
