About This Technique
Kosoto Gari (小外刈), or the minor outer reap, is a fundamental foot technique (ashi-waza) in Judo. It involves breaking an opponent's balance toward their rear corner and using a sharp, precise clipping motion to reap the back of their heel or ankle from the outside.
