About This Technique
Hiza Guruma (膝車), or the knee wheel, is a foundational foot technique (ashi-waza) in Judo. It involves placing the sole of your foot against the opponent's knee to create a fixed pivot point, then using a wide, circular steering-wheel motion with your arms to roll them over their blocked leg onto the mat.
