About This Technique
Uchi Mata (内股), or the inner thigh throw, is a major foot technique (ashi-waza) in Judo and widely considered one of the most powerful and highest-scoring techniques in competitive Judo history. It involves turning deeply under the opponent and driving your attacking leg upward between their thighs to lift their hips and rotate them onto their back.
