About This Technique
Uki Otoshi (浮落), or the floating drop, is a pure hand technique (te-waza) in Judo where you throw the opponent forward without using your legs, hips, or body as a barrier or pivot. It relies almost entirely on precise timing, dropping your center of gravity, and strong hand control to pull the opponent over empty space so they "float" onto the mat.
