About This Technique
Sode Guruma Jime (袖車絞), or the sleeve wheel strangle (often known in general martial arts as the Ezekiel choke), is a choking technique (shime-waza) in Judo. It involves inserting one arm behind the opponent's neck, reaching into your own opposite sleeve to secure a firm grip, and wrapping the other forearm across the front of the throat to create a scissor-like strangulation.
