About This Technique
Nami Juji Shime (並十字絞), or the normal cross strangle, is a fundamental choking technique (shime-waza) in Judo. Applied from groundwork positions like guard or mount, it uses a crossed-arm lapel grip with both palms facing down to compress the carotid arteries on both sides of the opponent's neck.
