About This Technique
Ryote Jime (両手絞), or the two-hand strangle, is a fundamental choking technique (shime-waza) in Judo. It uses a dual-handed grip on the opponent's collar, driving the palms, wrists, or thumbs directly into the front or sides of the neck to compress the throat or carotid arteries.
