Ushiro-kesa-gatame
後袈裟固Reverse scarf hold
About This Technique
Ushiro Kesa Gatame (後袈裟固), or the reverse scarf hold, is a pinning technique (osaekomi-waza) in Judo. It is a variation of the scarf hold where the attacker sits alongside the opponent facing toward their feet (rather than their head), driving heavy chest pressure downward to lock the opponent's shoulders flat against the mat.
