Ude-hishigi-te-gatame
腕挫手固Hand lock
About This Technique
Ude-Hishigi-Te-Gatame (腕挫手固), or the Hand Armlock, is a joint lock (kansetsu-waza) where the attacker uses both hands directly to control and hyper-extend the opponent's arm. By pinning or isolating the opponent's wrist with one hand and applying downward or forward leverage against the elbow joint with the other, pressure is exerted to force an immediate submission.
