About This Technique
Ude Hishigi Ude Gatame (腕挫腕固), commonly referred to simply as Ude Gatame or the straight arm lock, is a core joint-locking technique (kansetsu-waza) in Judo. It involves using both hands or your neck/shoulder alignment to trap the opponent's arm and drive hyperextending leverage directly against their elbow joint.
