About This Technique

Ude-Hishigi-Ashi-Gatame (腕挫脚固), or the Leg Armlock, is a joint lock (kansetsu-waza) where the attacker uses one or both legs to trap and pressure the opponent's arm against the elbow joint. By securing the opponent's wrist and pushing forward with the leg against the back of the elbow, leverage is applied to force a submission via hyperextension.
