About This Technique
Tsurikomi Goshi (釣込腰), or the lifting-pulling hip throw, is a fundamental hip technique (koshi-waza) in Judo. Unlike O-goshi where you release the lapel to wrap your arm around the opponent's waist, Tsurikomi Goshi maintains a high lapel grip to lift and draw the opponent forward while sinking your hips low beneath their center of gravity.
