About This Technique
Uki Waza (浮技), or the floating technique, is a side sacrifice technique (yoko-sutemi-waza) in Judo. It involves pulling the opponent off-balance toward their front corner while dropping your body weight sideways to the mat, extending your leg across their front line to "float" them over in a smooth, sweeping diagonal arc.
