2026 New Zealand National Championships

The 2026 New Zealand National Judo Championships will take place on October 17–18, 2026, at the Barfoot and Thompson Stadium in Auckland for Judo New Zealand registered players holding at least a 5 kyu (Yellow) grade.

The competition schedule covers Cadets, Juniors, Seniors, and Veterans on Saturday, October 17, followed by Kata and the Boys' and Girls' divisions on Sunday, October 18.

All entries close on October 7, 2026, with payment required by October 13, 2026.

Entry fees are set at $50 for Boys and Girls divisions, $70 for Cadets, Juniors, and Seniors, $20 per additional division entry, and $120 per pair for Kata entries.

Official weigh-ins begin on-site on October 16, with Senior and Junior division competitors subject to immediate category disqualification without re-entry if they fail to meet weight requirements.

The tournament applies Golden Score across all divisions, alongside specific technical restrictions: players aged 14 and under are prohibited from using chokes and armlocks, while competitors in the Veterans 60+ division cannot use chokes and have Golden Score capped at one minute.

Junior and Senior competitors must have both blue and white Judogis available, and all medal recipients are required to wear a white Gi on the award podium.
