MTG Judo Club

MTG Judo Club is a community-focused martial arts club based out of the Corinda Bowls Club in Brisbane's western suburbs. The club carries forward a lineage spanning over three decades, originating as Y-West Judo Club at Jamboree Heights YMCA before being renamed in 2019 in honor of its founder, Maurice "Maurie the Great" Mirabito (6th Dan). Today, the club is led by Head Coaches Jerome Wahl and Jake Mirabito (Maurice's son), training in an air-conditioned facility equipped with a 120m² mat space.

The club emphasizes practical fundamentals, discipline, self-defense, and character development in an inclusive environment. Accepting members from four years old through to adults and veterans, MTG Judo Club caters equally to casual practitioners seeking fitness and confidence as well as those looking to pursue regional and state competition pathways.
