UWA Judo Club

Established in 1988 by founder Stockley Davis, the University of Western Australia (UWA) Judo Club is based at the UWA Claremont Campus Gym in Perth. While affiliated with the university, the club is fully open to both students and the broader public, training on one of the largest permanently laid, sprung tatami mat surfaces in Australia.

The club provides structured pathways for all experience levels, ranging from early childhood development (Kinder Judo for ages 3–5) and junior programs through to adult beginner classes, kata, and advanced senior randori. Led by a coaching roster that includes former Olympians and national titleholders, UWA Judo Club also maintains an international exchange tradition spanning nearly three decades, supporting both grassroots participation and elite competition.
