Kano Judo Schools

Based in Joondalup, Western Australia, Kano Judo Schools is a multi-generational, family-run club built on the vision of the Knoester family. Its coaching staff includes highly decorated international figures, such as 7th Dan black belt and International Judo Federation supervisor Carlo Knoester, alongside certified IJF referees and Paralympic team coaches.

Operating out of a dedicated facility on Winton Road, the club provides age-tailored pathways ranging from preschool movement sessions (Little Grapplers for ages 3–5) through to kids, teens, adult fundamentals, kata, and high-performance competition training. Kano Judo Schools combines traditional core values—respect, discipline, and personal growth—with an athletic development system that has produced champions at the state, national, and international levels.
